Outside, while reaching the door handle on the sports car, Dom’s phone vibrated.

The cell phone screen read, Lea Peck, which triggered a random thought: Did tragic Grimm figures ever find a soulmate? Damn it. She mashed the line open.

“Dom, the tech department got back to me. Your man Aristophanes’s email was a blank. Nothing they could trace. Nada. Your guy knew enough to use a throwaway email and TOR.”

“Damn.”

“But did you look up Aristophanes, by any chance?”

“What have you got?”

“He was some old Greek dude from Athens who wrote plays. He wrote comic drama, satirical plays to be exact. Father of Comedy. Says here his powers of ridicule were feared, and that one of his scathing plays singled out Socrates and may have helped bring about Socrates’ trial and death. Maybe your guy is making fun of these rich white guys and their sense of entitlement. Making fun of them by getting them all worked up at these sex clubs…and then…I dunno, outing them or something?”

“It’s a stretch. But I like where you’re headed.”

“I mean, I dunno, he chose the damn name for a reason, surely.”

Lea was a top rate investigator. “Yeah, I hear that. You may be right.”

“Where are you now?”

“I’m about to go dig around in those sex clubs.”

“Oh joy. Have fun.”
